Erdem Huner PT, BSc(PT), DSc(Cand.), Dip. Manip. PT, FCAMT, CGIMS Physiotherapist
Erdem graduated from McGill University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. He subsequently completed post-graduate education in the area of orthopaedic physiotherapy, receiving the Canadian Physiotherapy Association's post-graduate Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2005. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (www.manipulativetherapy.org). Alongside his clinical practice, Erdem is pursuing doctoral studies through the post-professional Doctor of Science degree progam at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Erdem's clinical focus is on the treatment of pain and movement problems arising from joint dysfunction, muscular imbalance, postural alignment and neural (nerve) tissue mobility/sensitivity disorders. He also incorporates medical acupuncture into his treatment approach and is certified in the Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) needling technique (www.istop.org). He enjoys treating individuals with a wide spectrum of conditions ranging from acute sports injuries to chronic and persistent disorders.
Erdem is a registered instructor and assists the teaching of courses in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association's post-graduate orthopaedic manual therapy program. He also acts as a mentor for physiotherapists enrolled in this same program and related examination process. ____________________________________________________________________
Thomas Hein PT, BScPT, Dip. Manip. PT, FCAMT, CGIMS Physiotherapist
Since graduating from Queen’s University in 1995, Thomas has practiced in orthopaedics, sports medicine and manipulative therapy. He completed a full-time post-graduate program in 1998-99, receiving his first diploma in manual and manipulative physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) in 2000. He continues as an instructor for the Orthopaedic Division of the CPA in postgraduate manual and manipulative therapy education. He is also a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMT), having completed an intensive accreditation process (www.manipulativetherapy.org).
Thomas also has an interest in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture and is certified in the Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) needling technique (www.istop.org).
Thomas continues to teach and pursue post graduate studies on a part-time basis. Completing his final year at the Canadian College of Osteopathy has further increased Thomas’ knowledge base. It has allowed him to improve results by incorporating craniosacral, visceral and other osteopathic techniques into his physiotherapy practice. He has had great success combining a variety of techniques to achieve maximal results with even the most difficult or complex cases. He incorporates a wide range of techniques including spinal manipulation, myofascial release, spinal stabilization exercises, neural tissue mobilization and medical acupuncture. Thomas enjoys treating a variety of ages and conditions. With a growing interest in paediatrics and pre and post natal care, Thomas has found great reward in successfully treating children for a variety of conditions. ____________________________________________________________________
Tammy Sherman PT, MSc(PT), B.Kin(Hon), C.Kin Physiotherapist
Upon completion of a Bachelor of Kinesiology with Honors at McMaster University, Tammy pursued a career as a kinesiologist working in a private physiotherapy clinic. Realizing it was her goal to continue on as a physiotherapist,Tammy returned to McMaster University where she received a Master of Science in Physiotherapy. Tammy has been practicing in the private clinic setting as a physiotherapist since graduating in 2007 and has worked with clients with many types of physical conditions and injuries. She enjoys taking post-graduate courses to expand her knowledge and skills with a special focus in acupuncture and manual therapy. Tammy is currently completing her Master of Clinical Science in Manipulative Therapy through the University of Western Ontario. ____________________________________________________________________
Hayley Stroebel PT, BPT, Dip. Manip. PT, FCAMT Physiotherapist
Hayley received her physiotherapy degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1994. Having worked in general physiotherapy practice in South Africa and England, she arrived in Canada in 1997. Recognizing that her interest was in manual physiotherapy, she has worked towards and received her Diploma of Advanced Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Hayley is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (www.manipulativetherapy.org). She is also pursuing further acupuncture training through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute.
Hayley enjoys helping people reach their health goals. She incorporates joint mobilizations/manipulations, neural (nerve) mobilizations, soft tissue techniques, exercise and education in her treatments. Her background of both hospital and clinic based practice aids her in treating complex cases. Hayley keeps up to date with changes to the physiotherapy profession as Secretary on the Executive Committee of the local district of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association. ____________________________________________________________________
Lauren Sutton RMT Registered Massage Therapist
Lauren has been a Registered Massage Therapist since spring 2006 and is a graduate of Centennial College's 3 year Advanced Diploma program in Massage Therapy. She has had great experience with a wide variety of clients. In addition to neck and back pain she has had the opportunity to treat fibromyalgia clients, paralysis and stroke victims, athletic focus clients and pre/post natal women. Lauren is also a Craniosacral Therapist as well as being trained in hot stone therapy, lymphatic drainage treatments, indian head massage, myofascial release and reflexology. Her relaxing fluid treatment style allows her hands to seek out knots and areas of tension which she releases quickly. At the end of the treatment clients feel revitalized and refreshed. ____________________________________________________________________
Josee Day D.Ch Chiropodist
Josee is a graduate of The Michener Instiute for Applied Health Sciences' program in Chiropody. She is highly experienced in biomechanical analysis and in the casting of custom foot orthotics for a wide spectrum of disorders. Josee is available for onsite consultations at our clinic regarding the assessment, prescription and provision of custom foot orthotics. ____________________________________________________________________
Maisie Ng Office Manager
Maisie is our office manager and brings with her a wealth of organizational experience to the clinic. She is your first point of contact for booking appointments as well as your resource person for all matters related to billing and general inquiries along with our administrative assistants Tammy Zinger and Tina Ismail.
